What block wall work in Bowling Green actually involves

The Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction's page (read October 8, 2026) says the Department adopted the 2018 Kentucky Building Code, Second Edition and the 2018 Kentucky Residential Code, Second Edition on August 3, 2019. It lists the codes by title and edition; this site has not read the codes themselves and states nothing from them. Warren County's Building Services page says its division enforces the Kentucky Building and Residential Codes in the County outside Bowling Green and Oakland.

The residential code regulation

815 KAR 7:125 (read October 8, 2026) says it establishes the basic mandatory uniform statewide code provisions relating to construction of one and two family dwellings and townhouses, and that permits, inspections, and certificates of occupancy shall not be required for a single-family dwelling unless required by local ordinance. That sentence is about single-family dwellings, not walls, and this site does not say it applies to a block wall.

A code title is not the code. If a wall is covered by any of these codes, the City's building office can say which. The Bowling Green page sets out which office the County's page points to, and the costs page lists every line we read.
